The works in the womanhood series explore the dichotomies of struggle against gender bias and an innate need to celebrate ones femininity. Each work is based around issues arising from cultural religious or linguistic norms. Urdu text, architectural borders point toward underlying issues whereas common flowers with vibrant hues have been employed in different works with a view to make the works ‘Attractive and Eye-catching’, and to draw parallels between the uncelebrated common flowers and women.

All the paintings in this series have been deliberately kept untitled to draw attention to the reality of gender bias operative across religions ethnicities and social levels.
